I normally don't enjoy how CGI is used and abused in videos... But this?! This is how you use some heavy CGI! :)

Man! We're 14 days into October and this has already been the hottest video month in at least 2 years. Dayum.

Some really breathtaking moments! I think it's great that Syndrome is getting the chance to develop an entirely new aesthetic vocabulary for T-Pain. I imagine that he totally flips out every time they send him a new cut.

Roughly 2 artists, 6 - 10 extras, and a U.S. economy crippling amount of CGI...hmm... I'm betting the budget was right around the $100k USD mark.

thanks kalstark, ive always wondered about that. Im not a big fan of CGI heavy videos and im really glad the boom that happened a few years ago has quelled, but this was aight.

But jesus 100k. What? One maybe 2 days on greenscreen and the rest is all grphics?
         
c-dub, you saying that seems high? I figure at least 10 artists x 3 weeks x average 2k/week. That's 60k just for effects salaries.

Every time I thought the video was going to rely on a gag it reinvented itself. Visually evolved from one segment to another in silky smooth perfection. Top notch.

I love how there are at least some rap videos that creatively stray from their ancestors' recent and not-so-recent stereotypical forays. If it weren't for my not feeling the song very much, I'd have watched the video all the way through and no doubt continued to enjoy it.
