Question: Guns N' Roses - any music videos from the Chinese Democracy album?
The 13-years-in-the-making album comes out today, and the reviews aren't that bad. I'm curious, does anyone know if they are any plans to make any videos? Guns N' Roses were such a huge video band in the early 90s, and November Rain has clocked in 26M views on youtube. Cost: $1.5M in 1992 dollars.
If Guns N' Roses ISN'T making any videos for this album, but would spend $13M+ to record it - what does that say?

I think it says SFW.

Interestingly enough, I think Axl could probably benefit from a good MV more than any other artist right now. Y'know, to prove that he still like, relevant to a younger generation and whatnot.0ptical, November 25, 2008 8:28:45 PM CET

Well, there are rumors going around which I'm making up right now that they want to completely remake November Rain, shot-for-shot, but this time the kicker is that they would replace every single cigarette and alcoholic beverage with a walkie-talkie. Therefore, adding mystery and intrigue, as if everyone was at some fancy Cop wedding while still on the job. Also, the chick wouldn't die at the end, they would just get a divorce and move on, but Axl's character would still have a mock-funeral for her as a means for closure. Reports in my head have been vague if the ex-wife would sue, and on which grounds really. Kinda weak ending, in my opinion. We'll see. moog, November 27, 2008 12:49:12 PM CET
I'm sure there ARE plans to make a video. It'll just take Axl 11 years to work out what he wants.:|

Well it took him only one year: Steven reports that Dale "Rage" Resteghini directed a music video with Guns N' Roses for Chinese Democracy track "Better," plus additional video content for the band's upcoming world tour...
Times are rough and money is tight.
