wow. very nice trick. It's only 24 hours. But the Carachter have to chang ehis position very often in one scene. Back and forward very often. So it seemes that the Man takes 10 Nights to walk down 10 meters. Cool idea. The man "shivers" very much.

David Fincher did one comercial which is a bit similar. But he uses computer and greenscreens.

         

At first I doubted gondry did it. But it seems he made it after all. And btw he also did a commercial for an internet provider a long time ago based on this idea . Many people were used instead of one but the action was continuous like here.

Siezure-inducing, and for no particularly good reason...

         

Overwhelmed just imagining by the logistics needed for this. 'Simple' video but quite enjoyable. Gondry doesn't disappoints.

gondry did a commercial using this effect some years ago. oh, and on his directorslabel dvd is a short test with himself... is this video new?

         

This clip doesn't do it for me - the effect doesn't work. Plus Magritte did it better with a single canvas in 1953:

         

Budget was 50k. Word is that he would stomp his feet and absolutely freak out on set if he didn't get what he wanted.

I would've shut this off maybe 10-20 seconds in if it weren't made by 'gondry'.

This is a really bad video. If it was made by a young video director for 50k I would understand the achievement aspect. But being that it is created by a veteran like Gondry, we should be expecting something new or fresh. Instead we get the same old BS.

Overrated since day one.

         

I love Gondry as much as the next guy but this should be a 5k video not 50k. Plus it unfortunately looks like he is getting short on new ideas.

         

50k is a tiny budget compared to what Gondry is used to, and he doesn't seem willing to recognize that. If you look at Gondry's last few videos (I'm thinking specifically of Kanye and Bjork), they seem to crumble under the reality of the budget.

         

It's really funny how antvillers turn of Gondry...when a video or two ago he was their messiah...just an observation, hipsters.
