EDIT: but I hate the Video the director did for: "The Micronauts - Reaction". I think he just likes boobs. Which sucks. I mean. "The Micronauts" is so fucking booring couse the whole concept seems to be: "boobs".

The clip made me uneasy, but in a good way. If a clip can elicit a strong emotion be it good or bad I can't help but think it a success. Plus it's beautifully photographed. Anyone got info on the bubble?
         
Powerful. Sad that the boobage makes it hard to promote in the 'commercial' venues. Love the airport-roaming bubble. Reminds me of that flickering one at Heathrow 5.
         
GREAT video. Again Danakil manages to take female sexuality and turn it into something that isn't about the nudity. "Oh, yeah this is good, and look there happen to be breasts here!" rather than, "OMG LOOK AT TEH TITTIES!"

Shes treated in the same way as the balloon - nicely shot but no weight. Not got a problem with that myself so much as i do justifying it as something deeper, but it does read a little more like a reel for a DOP than a music video in my humble.
         
I can't help it if you are still all hormonal and only recently post-pubescent. ;) Some of us don't keep a box of kleenex (that's "tissues" in Jolly 'Old) next to the computer.

Edit: I'd go so far as to say that someone who found this video sexual has completely missed the point. Then again, they might also be fans of the golden shower (not this kind), and who am I to judge.
         
I hope no fish got hurt in the making. That video's gonna stick with me for a while, though...
         
This is a video about maternity. Breasts are a pretty relevant signifier here.

Context aside, I don't get why people think showing is more salacious than not showing. That Micronauts video is like 5% as skeezy as Beyonce's 'Single Ladies.'

Anyway, an impressive and ambitious vid.
         
seems like a very male view of maternity to me. the breasts in here are signifiers of an irresistable penchant for putting breasts in videos.

I liked the pacing. visually the bubble portion was enjoyable to watch. The boob aspect wasn't really that significant to me (didn't really stand out until it was brought up), I don't think it was featured more extremely than other closeups of the nude woman.
         
Totally agree- this is pretty beautiful and the boobs shouldn't be the focus of this video. I bloody hope that bubble was real!
         
that ending made me extremely uncomfortable. not uninteresting, the juxtapositions, but overall somehow... gratuitous? (oh, and: luk, 0ptic, putty? go out and know more boobs.)

In this Clip here... there is nothing wrong showing boobs. Being naked has nothing do do with "porn". Beyonce, Britney, etc.. video are more "porn" than this. There are also 1000 of US Films that show people in bed... and than a fade to black... cut.. the next morning. But sometimes sex and nudity is important. And in this clip everything is just fine.

Not all. I don't get the thing with the fish. I don't get the metapher. The fish is just a "cool gimmick".

@Luk I think the metaphor is quite clear. The fish is out of water, and it's dying -- because she is keeping it there. The girl, who we can assume is pregnant based on her reaction, is deciding what to do with the unborn child, which is about as helpless as the fish. Notice the parallel between the way she pushes the pin into her stomach, as she strokes the fish with it. There are shots that I am guessing are meant to represent the insides of the fish as the pin is potentially pushed through.

The bubble is, again, empty. In an empty airport. Bubble is a metaphor for womb.

thx. I get the bubble thing. but... "the unborn child, which is about as helpless as the fish" hmmm i don't know. The bubble is already is the metapher for pregnancy. imo. So the fish is like a second metapher. hmmmm.
