Nice, low fi art direction mixed with hi end production values. The ending was quite cheesy though.
Im constantly amazed by Rencks work. Thought this was solid, in particular the beginning half, the greenscreen was a little off, would have really loved to see rear screen with minimal FX, but its sign of the times I presume, overall solid.
not at all what i expected, and really quite disappointed. i guess when you really like a track you have very high expectations for the video.

am i missing something here? These costumed people are straight out of a bad Cirque de Soleil show. There are no ideas here, just costumes and pretentious European dancing.
The film and girl look great; and the song is neat; and it feels like people are getting fooled by that. This could have been so much better.
I'm not feeling this the same way I didn't get Thurah's "Crazy woman by the pool" video.

the shots of her with the crows in background worked for me.... but the costumed dancing was like a bad SNL skit or something.
I usually can't stand such quick edits. It works harmlessly enough in this clip.
No doubt, however, that this one will be a grower on me. Especially since I seem to be listening to the song a lot more.

The edit feels disjointed and clumsy and too quick for this song. Then the song itself, she starts to sound like Enya, not Bjork. I like the lighting and the costume design, but that's about all. Feels like a heroin fantasy book, left open on the table. I guess there's no beating that Dougal Wilson video for 'What's a Girl to Do', no matter how much I love Renck's work.

Don't understand the hatred for the editing. Really wasn't that off beat. Was it pretentious? Yes, can't deny that with those dancers. But did it look good and fit her trippy vibe? Yes.
