This was really stupid ...

         

The video was well edited, well shot, well conceived, and well directed. I actually really enjoyed it until the ending. I'm not sure if that is what's throwing people off and coloring their view of the whole thing but, for me, the ending ruined what would otherwise have been a great video.

It really isn't 'fucking awesome' and it isn't because the ending is juvenile. I had the same problem with the otherwise brilliant Matt and Kim video. What's up with these otherwise intelligent and daring directors deciding to pander at the last minute?

ok the ending kiss is really wrong. But this is an impressively tight direction. Some kids on this site should take a break from posting on blogs, look properly at their own "films", learn from guys like Nash and get to work.

okay, "stupid" maybe wasn't the most constructive way of putting it... So here's another try: for me the video threw it's characters (and any founding in reality) completely out of the window with that ending and effectively reduced itself into a retarded little movieworld fantasy. abuse is a pretty heavy subject to be throwing around just like that. Also the styling and the way the female lead was shot is rather fake and tasteless, the whole "make her look really dirty and beat up, but still like.. um really hot and sexy" thing. Also, I love Bob Dylan and he deserves so much better than this baloney.

         

After all, may be attacking real directors work on blogs will make you exist more in the film industry than those student "films". www.igorzimmermann.com ???

I just think that there is so much to like about this as a film that focusing on the negatives is a little bizarre.
