Tortoise: Prepare Your Coffin
that's pretty awesome. what city is that?
Atleast partially filmed in San Francisco. All the locations I could catch:
Golden Gate Park near the Conservatory of Flowers SFO BART station SFO long term parking Terry A Francois St Bernal Heights Sutro tower Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption (Washing Machine church) Transamerica Pyramid Muni Station Embarcadero Center One Maritime Plaza Inside the James Turrell sculpture "Skyspace" at the De Young Museum De Young Museum exterior Bunker road tunnel
architecture porn...
Not saying that these things are related but it reminded me of the short film Aimless Walk by Alexander Hammid (AKA the co-director of "Meshes in the Afternoon"). It's sort of a similar look at 1930s prague with a added story conceit about a man who goes into the czech countryside and leaves a doppleganger there to enjoy the country ambience while the first man returns to the city bustle. Interesting to see that things haven't changed that much since the 1930s.
This is just great. Really captures what it's like to be a photographer.
