So.. he once shelved a monsieur Gondry video, but this **** along with all those Hype videos he feels that he can somehow live with??
         
This is better than Gondry's video... even without the cardboard.
         
Well keep in mind, Ye shelved a Dethurah vid (for Flashing lights) and if it weren't for (cough) antville, no one would've seen that promo.

This version posted here seems to be a combo of concepts. The one that LA Reid showcased was almost entirely about rhianna driving around in a clockwork orange like car (the one we see at 2:30) as Ye is overlayed in the background. The concept didn't work and so instead, the video has more or less become a rhianna showcase....?

This needed more time (maybe more money). The lights and light overlays feel cheap. Idk, it's tough. Video never got around to the track and I think the final product highlights this.
         
I don't normally put down people's work (classy guy) but this is HORRIBLE!

By Kanye West standards something is amiss, I'm surprised this got released at all. There is NOTHING on this clip that suggests cohesion or a well thought out execution, just waste of talent (the artist) and bad lighting. I could almost forgive direction but I can't. It's too damn bad not to notice.

I'd be pretty hard to fuck Rhianna up, that's exactly what they did. Amazed.

Video will be done in two days? TAKE THIS DOWN and put out the final version! (not that I think it'll improve unless ILM does the transitions)

it is o.k to have that opinion.. i hope u like the final version...if not.. then AGHHHHHHHHHH again.... but i'd apprecaite it if this came down until i put out the final...
         
Right now, it's not looking good, but if Kan...Aggghhhh is right, I'll reserve what I have to say.

By the way, these two directors make up NEON, so you can credit them like so, to save space.

So ye/aggghhhh: How is this video getting released to label heads and most importantly, music sites (pitchfork) as being completely unfinished? Why has this been incorrectly released twice now?

I reserve comments and take back comments specified for the leaked version. Now that is confirmed that leaked version is not up to standards, the final video is no doubt going to be promising.

It's fascinating seeing the work in progress, it serves it's purpose because you get feedback from the community to get the final version better. Sorry again for lambasting and putting out a bad comment, looking for the final edit. Peace out.

It's strange how popular opinion dictates that having studios, labels, or suits tinker with your final cut somehow lessens the artistry but having feedback from the entire online community is a good thing that will make the video better.
         
"Design by committee" is (almost) never a good thing.
         
Cool. I don't take back any comments, because this version was indeed ****. But am indeed looking forward to the final version, hoping for somehting really nice. The Spike Jonze Flashing lights video was one of the best things last year.
