Jay-Z - "D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune)" {Dir: Anthony Mandler}
They'll prolly have a better version up soon. But here's the BET tv rip in the meantime.
Death of Autotune, Rise of the Soprano Saxophone.
Fiercely good
This is a video with a budget for sure. Some nice photography but I have problems with this song...
To me it's a little late to call autotune dead. As if this is some kind of, what I say is law type of record. It's like if in 6 months someone comes around and is like: DATAMOSHING IS DEAD! Because I say so! This so violent! I'm so relevant. What rot.
This is corporate hiphop front to back.
who the fcuk cares whether this is corporate hiphop or not i for one like the track and the video
Well Jay has a way of suggesting he's so hard. So brooklyn. Yet the music is pure Z100. It's pure disney. Totally corporate.
And in turn, this cancels the very same argument he's presenting. It's like apple computers saying, "Be different" (buy apple). It's corporate bullshit.
Also, if Jay didn't own/run DefJam and respective ny radio stations, would he even be making records? I feel like the guy is constantly buying his own relevance.
Reminds me of George Michaels "Freedom.". In a good way...
lusk, get over yourself.
It's entertainment, pure and simple. And on top of that, you don't even have your facts straight. Sheesh.
Hey bug, he was a former CEO of Defjam for some time and holds major political stake in New York's Hot97. What facts are crooked here?
lusk81, youre not too much of a hip hop head, are you
Lusk, I think what Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are trying to tell you from up inside each other's bums, is that you aren't "urban" enough to get it.
hey familiar you tasteless fuckunt welcome back havent seen you in a while been busy getting curb crawled?
<3 Oh you know. Working. In my free time trying to educate myself to this seemingly Platonic concept of "what entertainment is" that exists in people's mind.
2009 Jay-Z = Jordan on the Wizards
I enjoyed the video... and I think Jay Z is right, I don't see how that song could be a ring tone.
I think its more a statement than a command. Great video nonetheless.
still onthe fence about this track, but the video is fiyah
