Just marvelous and, again, i could spot a Tobias Stretch video from miles away. Keep up the good work.

         

i love tobias' showreel and stuff but this is becoming repetitive besides, i don't like the colors in the video

         

Not a fan of the colors either but I can definitely see a growth in your technique and I enjoyed that there was a more definite narrative in this piece.

There's not doubt that you're very talented and it's always a pleasure to see your latest work but if I have one concern it's that your videos feel too much like 'Tobias' and not enough like the individual artists that you shoot for.

I get the sense that if I was to watch your reel from front to back it'd come off more like a conceptual art-film with an eclectic soundtrack than it would a series of promos for musicians. Some would say that's okay, I'm not so sure...

However, all that humdrum bullsh*t said, the video works well and I really liked the ending.

Hey thanks noelpaul and stoney for the appreciation. I thought the color thing would be an issue but can't please everybody as they say. My new stuff is gonna be nuts stay tuned!

         

My issue with the color was that I felt very aware of it as an effect on top of everything. That very amped-up overall hue tweaking, to my eye, does not cohere well the more deliberate and natural feel of the animation. More subtlety and/or finesse in the color would help I think [Tobias, I can elaborate on that if you want].

But maybe I misunderstand the intent, and this looks exactly as it should. Can't please everyone.

Also, I'm sure I'd notice less if the I was more into the song.

Hey guys, sorry for the interest in the color above all else. The reason for the color choice was a desire to have a "psychotic technicolor" look. I'm real sorry you guys hate it so much but I must say that I'm getting a ton of comments in favor of the color choice on vimeo and by email so as I said before it's really gonna be tough to please all you guys, especially the antville folks. I've never tried to explain my choices before but I'm a painter as well so maybe that's why but I'm also bipolar so maybe that's why. There's never one reason to anything in my work. I love colors.

Is there supposed to be something wrong with the color choice? I'm staying out the argument just want to say color's ok. It's what the artist wanted it to look like, hey it's an artistic choice. The video caught the eye because it's so stylized in palette, that kept me watching. And the tiger. Nothing wrong with it. I fucking love the weirdness.

I am also color blind. I know what he's talking about.
