Röyksopp "This Must Be It" dir. Andreas Nilsson and Filip Nilsson
That was great :)
wtf is that in his hand?

awesome! i love it.
never ceases to
tell wareheim this is how you do it
The Drum Buggy, I want one.
This video reminds me why I keep coming to this site from time to time :)
Holy shit! :O That was truly amazing, and perfect in every sense. Martin Parr meets amazonian tribe meets spinal tap ;)
heheheherzog
This is awesome in every sense, this is amazing in every sense. Kinda like that Ringo Starr movie from back in the day meets Kerzog meets old style hipster cavemen meets tribal ethnic group dancing. And best part is the band plays in the background! I love how they covered it: from the back, from the sides. No front shots!
what am i missing? i don't dislike it, just don't think it deserves all this praise.
maybe i read too much into it, but I just get that gut feeling when I watch this, where civilization is just the thin ice over people's savagery.
TASTY! Enjoyed this. Like an abstracted and stylised version of the desert children tribe scenes from Mad Max 2 meets some forest european trailer trash colony. It would have been nice if something more happened between the interaction between the family and the quadbike /drummer guy instead of just nightime/sparkles and some dancing after such a sweet build up of characters, settings etc.
Really dig that it is left quite open conceptually and narrative wise tho - nothing more needs to be explained.
Looks like the actor from breaking bad..?
but this would have worked better if the song was shorter in length or there was but one more narrative element to take it someplace else.
I'm with piore on this.
So a video gets all the praise for doing something right when so many do not, bravo to that. Forget naysayers nothing seems to please them anyways.
Very nice indeed but yes got a little bored when the climax turned out to be a dance party.
Herzog does Sweedish Madmax 4 perhaps?
The original tribe of children are now parents?
parents of the corn, pop porn, and soda
btw, its royksopp feat fever ray
fun concept but i personally am not at all into that messy and unfocused style of execution.
I didn't like the video either. Seems like weirdness for the sake of weirdness and it doesn't amount to much. It's one of the weaker videos to come out of the Royksopp camp.
K
messy and unfocused? I wouldn't say it's either of those things. Rather, I think it's Nilsson's gorgeous execution that makes his surreal/ absurd/silly stuff work best, typically. Or do you mean in concept and content?
Legion: Aha, I knew that beautiful voice had to be Ms. Dreijer!
Don't pee in the wind! There's so many bizarre things going on in this video - it grows on me the more I watch it. A great imagination had to come up with the concept for this video - not many could pull it off and sell it.
It didn't work for me. Felt too silly to have credibility. The momentum of the driving shots worked great but aside from that and some beautiful shots it felt overacted and under-conceived.
according to boardsmag, it was co-directed with filip nillson
and dp'd by carl nilsson
3 brothers collab, interesting.
