Is it really necessary for a video to have a progression or tricks to be good? Isn't it possible that sometimes a simple idea and style is enough to make a good pairing with a song?

it is necessary to have some sort of progression, i would disagree with captainhairy though, the dance step builds a bit. its not terribly fast paced, but its a throw back track and throw back video and does pretty well in that world. but i wish there was a set instead of that grey room.
