Gotta give it up, this is a solid video. Now how did a Yeasayer video get the budget for something like this?igor33, November 25, 2009 7:53:26 AM CET
I say yeah! This is a truly, truly amazing video. Who is the DoP by the way?macguffin, November 25, 2009 8:48:45 AM CET
Pretty cool vid. Very Encylopedia Pictura-esque
What is up with the naked trend in videos this year though?

Fantastic. Are the hooded mirror mask a Maya Deren reference?Alanedit, November 25, 2009 10:26:41 AM CET
No it's a holy mountain reference. Entire video is, and that's a good thing.kansas, November 25, 2009 11:23:26 AM CET
I liked it. Some nice images and ideas in there. Holy Mountain again and I believe the hooded mirror mask comes from Sun Ra's 'Space is the Place'. But who cares.
Nice work.

@julianj13 @alanedit i think maya deren did it first but in any event this is a great videoAlanedit, November 25, 2009 6:29:22 PM CET
@noelpaul agreed. The building blocks were there. Inspiration coming from all sources, also check the work of Andrea Giaccobe. Lots of hoods and stuff, great video.Truly amazing cinematography.

The next time someone says something about all hip hop videos being basically the same, I'm going to point them in the direction of indie music videos in 2009. That said, nicely done!andrechez, November 25, 2009 7:31:30 PM CET

I could potentially see myself joining this Jodorowsky Space is the Place Zardoz cultwhatdoyouthink, November 25, 2009 8:09:16 PM CET
Ya Know...I respect the craftsmanship involved, etc etc, but you run the risk of totally letting your influences shine through in doing a video like this. Ken Russell, John Boorman, The Apple, Jodorowsky's box set--all of these things have seemingly being re-discovered in the last few years by hipsters and this video seems to be the embodiment of this material.
Feels kind of empty and soul-less to me...

An wots wiv the BacoFoil® under the nudies at the end? I appreciate no one likes to get sand in their sensitive areas, but it's hardly New Age authenticity is it now!

wait DAFT ARTS as in DAFT PUNK? wtf???wing, November 26, 2009 3:55:05 AM CET
some nice moments but the solid photography and high level of fx just make the lack of any cohesive concept or story really really apparent. disappointingly empty..salvia, November 26, 2009 9:25:34 AM CET
