Röyksopp "This Must Be It" (NonMusic Video) Original video directed by Andreas Nilsson & Filip Nilsson
I don't know what you guys will think about this. I thought Andreas Nilsson's latest video was so compelling I wanted to see if it would stand on its own, so I took the music out and put sound effects back in, as if it was a short film. I think (but maybe the general populace here will disagree) that its a little sad that the only way genius directors get to make financially viable short films these days is with music videos. I know its just a framework for a creative to work in, but sometimes I wish these guys were making there own work instead of visually scoring some else's music.
at first i was going to dismiss this post, but watching it, i was actually intrigued with the concept. interesting experiment.
as for making short films, they aint cheap to self finance, so i don;t think it's sad these guys make music videos at all. in fact, quite the OPPOSITE as otherwise they may not ever be able to make anything at all!
That is just genius work, man. I really enjoyed watching it without the music. The sound effects are great and i only missed the sound of car breaks when he arrives in the community.
I also agree with mandy.
Anyhow, that was just great to watch. and listen.
wow. i was convinced this would be lame, but i really enjoyed it. nice job !
really interesting experiment. would love to see more.
unmusic video. de-mix. whatever: nice intuition you went on here, jm.
brilliant!
FOLEY!!
wicked man
Nice! I wish someone would do that to my vids. Great job!
