That's a lot of hiking! How did you keep the horizon level? Did you re-frame in post? Congrats. Reminded me of Gondry's / Chemical Brothers Star Guitar.

I was thinking of Cassius too. I think Oskar Fischinger may of been the first person to do this in Munchen-Berlin Wanderung. There was even a music video like this last year in some sort of german castle where we had this exact same discussion.

That said I enjoyed this as a piece of stop motion because watching a camera fly over a landscape is trippy.

         

;) yeah there are about 20 other videos that did this technique as well. But he incorporated some editing elements in it that were pretty cool.
