That was REALLY well done. One of my recent favorites for sure. Also a great song.
Yeah pretty photography, pretty people, good shin-ish pop song, but ultimately it feels a bit like vfx showreel. But then it's just a performance video, maybe I shouldn't moan and be so hard.
I wouldn't compare this to 1st Ave. Their Sixes video is brilliant, but conceptually these are trying to achieve two completely different things. Maybe if 1st Ave had magic rocks, an epic aquatic finale with jellyfish and man-eating grass, then I'd be suspicious but...
Nice one.
Andrew's Delphic video also reminded me of 1st ave a bit. I get a sense of open admiration from the resemblance, as opposed to anything sneaky. This video is the opposite of lazy.
So if 1st Ave didn't do the post on this, does anyone know who did? They deserve to have their name mentioned in the conversation for the work they actually did.
