There is not a single frame of CG work in this.
this is awesome
wow. congrats.
Awesome, thank you for sharing :)
this is fantastic....
This is excellent. I'm sure that was a LOT of work but it was worth it.
Not only is the fx work great, it was a total complement to the song and overall tone. Really transported me and left a sense of nostalgia and loneliness and I liked that. Awesome.
"There is not a single frame of CG work in this." please elaborate
Just that it wasn't a 3D rendering. After Effects, as opposed to Maya or some such.
@lusk81 and @najork: I find it very hard to believe all of the effects were created in After Effects and/or without any 3D rendering. The holes in the body clearly have dimensionality to them. Do you have any sources or behind-the-scenes info on this? I'd be interested to know how it was accomplished....
i'd love a little tech breakdown. beautiful art btw. thumbs up.
creepy… but nicely done. congrats
Totally awesome creepyness : ) : )
Amazing work Najork. Really well done.
this thread is proof that the antville community can sometimes be awesome. nice one najork.
this is so beautiful. the visuals suit the song perfectly.
Awesome! Yeah, for lock-down shots where the body is swaying, they could have just done some sweeet photoshop plates and animated with a mesh warp AE. My favourite is the fall away shot from the window. :) Haunting.
Great! Sweet!
Supreme. Excellent. Tres bien. Some really haunting resonating imagery. The people dancing through the windows... The lights in the sky. Gorgeous.
Thanks everyone!!! I was certainly hoping people would dig it here of all places.
I'm trying to get some shot breakdowns together. I'll let you know when those are posted.
looking forward. cheers.
quite lovely indeed. (viz. jaron a & b steiger l, but with nice bunch of own poetics.)
BEHIND THE SCENES najork.net I was waiting for this to go up on another site, but they seem to be not getting around to it.
Thanks for sharing Najork.
Very cool!!!
