How are normal directors supposed to compete? What these guys deliver for the budgets they get is insane. I have no idea how they do it. Must be magic.

This time they've tried to structure the randomness with the book motif and given the video a concept linked to the song. I like it except for the shot of the half naked girl which seems pointless and then the 'fear of the lord' section at the end, even as a joke is pretty lame. I'm not sure this is as good as Nilsson's or Jonas & Francois' videos for this band but on it's own it works.
@ shoplifter. What kind of budgets do they get? I also like this better than Canada's last few.
no. random and decorative, like a screensaver mocking the sermon on the mountain is childish, unless youre scorsese the 3-shots with the band feel awkward i only like the infrared shots with the couple having sex not even close to nilsson's videos for the band
I don't get the link with the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, except for "fear of the lord" (awesome nature shots) and "knowledge" (sermon on the mountain). The other chapters seem to me to contain totally random scenes.
Even though this video has slightly evolved from previous Canada videos. It's still relies heavily on vague randomness, almost as an 'artistic' excuse for a lack of connecting or expanding ideas.
For sure there are some nice shots and some nice ideas but as a whole what does it add up to? And does anyone care after the first watch, besides the uneducated hipster?
