I really want to like this, great execution, pretty cool song, yet I can't shake the feeling that this distasteful. This feels a little over simplified. A lot the people of Jonestown were victims, most of the children you see in this video were either tricked into or forced to drink cyanide. Now they're back selling albums for a band named Cults - Ick.

         

I think this might be the definition of "on the nose". Great song, wish they would've gone a different route.

         

Can't say I go a bundle on it either mainly for the same reason as 'trans', its not like its a statement or anything, jus' a widow display

i dont believe in videos made of footage filmed by other people, unless its boards of canada's cowboy

         

It's different and bold. Better than pointing a camera at a guitar. I agree with trans but not because it's distasteful, but because this is taking very emotionally loaded footage and juxtaposing it. Of course it will be affecting... I didn't walk away feeling like the footage and the music needed each other.

That being said, simply that it got me thinking on such a level is deserving of praise.
