Beyonce "1+1" dir. Beyonce/Laurent Briet/Ed Burke

I think Laurent Briet just took a Briet shit on us.
Nothing on his portfolio shows he could direct the biggest female artist in the world. He just did...a D'angelo using Beyonce.
And a director with balls would have explored a more interesting facet of this artist now that she's well cemented than a mere fashion show which ANYONE with a great stylist can shoot. While it's pretty, it's just not interesting. We know she's hot, do we need to know again? again and again? that live performance at AMA last spring was a better showcase than her recent work.
Maybe this was her concept, like Gaga does and they result in messy, pseudo female centrism videos that do nothing but raise questions about the state of big video making.
I found this video HYPER boring. A surprising pick from such a well known artist. Who, unlike Gaga, lets other people direct her.
Don't know who the other dude is. That co director credit is in name only.
Beyonce is the biggest female artist in the world? wow, then you also like Gaga Spears and all the other bluff packages, right?
^ hater. She's certainly the biggest selling, Gaga's been around only a couple years. So what the f is your point anyway? talk about the video, or something.
It's Clouzot's Inferno plus some Marilyn Minter. Personally I'm a fan of Briet's stuff and I think it's cool that Beyonce went non-mainstream, lord knows this could of been a lot more generic, but I don't think this entirely works.
