nice job brigs
amazing job, brigs. For the first time, I feel that I'll be glad with the victory of any of the nominees for video of the year. But I'm still rooting for Manchester Orchestra.
kayser, thanks for the credits. legion, i didn't bother you with the screen grabs 'cause i went for a different thing. also, can someone put the post as first until the voting closes? thanks everyone, cheers
I dig the Voltron view. Do you suppose that gives the Black Lion a psychological advantage, or disadvantage?
Yawn, a few days in and people are already vote stuffing.
Most Fun video - 32 votes. Best Animated - 28 votes Best Performance - 27 votes Best Narrative - 24 votes Best Hip Hop - 22 votes Best Choreography - 23 votes Best Art Direction - 21 votes Best Editing - 20 votes Best Cinematography - 20 votes Best Visual Effects - 23 votes Best Commissioning Artist - 21 votes Best New Director - 21 votes Best Director - 22 votes Video of the Year - 25 votes.
Shouldn't every category have roughly the same amount of votes? Or rather, a category like "Video of the Year" have more votes than "Most Fun" ?
captainmarc22, I think that's just people starting to fill it out and then thinking they'll get back to it later (which is what i did).
stuffs usually spike pretty obviously; and some categories always get fewer votes. one thing tho: til the 24th is awful long, and iirc usually after 3 or 4 days things start to go off...
also: coudal'd.
@ prog, at least they call it "a nice recap"… i can change the closing date. 20th sounds better? @ najork, as i was doing the pics i though the same, but i just wanted them to be tidier than before…
this is really great guys. awesome work everyone.
Go montecrossa hahaha!
^ Chuh! How did auld Monte get in there?
i nominated him marc22 too he had so many videos out this year, it felt like the right thing to do
brigs: 20th, sure, or whatever you feel is right.
^ done. changed it to the 19th. the weekend+monday and it's over.
An average of 30 people voting... Mathematically, in the community of human beings having a say on music video, are Antvillers a more relevant community than KKK buddhists second world war South African vets ?
Is Tropical - The Greeks was edited by us (MEGAFORCE) MEGACHEERS antvillers!
mingo: antville is what it is - and as you know quantity ≠ quality.
the local share of active to passive users is pretty similar to other topical sites (working out roughly to 1% [citation needed]); nobody's run the stats of late, but i think the 'ville still averages about 5000 unique visits per day.
I also nominated Monte. He's fucking awesome. :-)
Best Director category sounds rather fishy to me since last night.
stuffery ahoi: shoes and spoek...
also justice "civilization" is getting a lot of votes in the final hours…
Best Director is obviously fishy.
whatsay brigs, shut'er down?
^ yeah ok gettin' to it
progosk, shut it.
the spoek mathambo peeps are not begging for votes, they are just informing people that they have been nominated and are inviting them to vote. besides, they are doing antville a favour by mentioning it on their blog.
is dis a bad thing? dont think so.
Polls are officially closed! Thanks everyone.
