Woodkid - Run Boy Run - Dir. Yoann Lemoine
There's some absolutely fantastic stuff here.
I'm probably the last one at this party, but I just learned that Yoann = Woodkid. That's awesome.
Awesome work! Really creative.
You start watching this and it seems they repeat the same formula. But then, the monster pops out, and another one, and it starts growing. Totally amazing.
Meh.
gimme back my 15 seconds
too much "where the wild things are" for me. still, a pretty good video considering all the crap that gets posted here…
yip, where the wild things are meets 300, without the good bits (the actual fighting)
Thought of WtWTA too.
this dude is so megalomaniac. all about himself
still he has some talent. its a nice video as was the last one.
i just really can't take the bad english accent. its borderline comical at the beginning. then it gets covered up by the instrumentation.
Wow. Anyone have any idea who funds these? This looks more expensive than any of his other music videos. It's hard for me to believe that Woodkid's record label is giving him more money to make a music video then Drake or Katy Perry. Is he just super rich himself?
I can only applaud the talent, skills, and power to pull this off. A little part in my wishes tho he'd take the talent, skills, and power just a bit further and expand on it. Liking the music too.
Probably Assassin's Creed paid for this.
AMAZING. HE NEEDS TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL NOW AND BE A LEGEND.
captainhairy: agree he sounds autistic. wish he would hire a vocalist and stop masturbating in the mirror but the music is still GOOD.
Budget: this can't be more than 60k, free your mind.
all in all though i love Yoann Lemoine's work lately. i thought he was horrible until the first woodkid release... his prior videos we're shit and then he had a breakthrough most filmmakers never experience.
He totally had an artistic turnaround. I didn't think he sucked before, but his Instagram-y videos weren't anything special until he did Iron (which is a little overrated, but it was a step in the right direction). Born To Die is my fav video of his, and I hope he keeps developing.
