yes, this is way too obscure. and completely generic. you could recut this to almost any indie song and it wouldn't change a thing.

         

@budget song is titled 'sacrilege' i think it's fitting. good execution.

         

Yeah, got that. Still feels like a teaser for someone's film project cut to a YYY's song. Unless you're a diehard fan of the band or an antville junkie it seems unlikely that you're going to sit through the whole thing.

But then maybe I'm just bothered that a band as visual as the yeah's sat this one out, and that a directing team known for crazy fx and transitions opted for stark realism. Its not a bad video, just not what I was expecting.

@budget megaforce have been on a narrative trip lately. they still experiment with the medium.. can't rely on the same bag of tricks all the time. i feel it's part of a bigger trend. i'd call it 'middle american life romanticed by europeans'. mr oizo, m83..
