This is Michel Gondry's latest effort and I have been waiting anxiously to see this for ages. (Still downloading, 3kb/s :( )

Jack White believes this is the best clip they've made, and one of the best videos ever made. Gondry has directed a couple of the White Stripes previous videos, both of which were excellent, of course. I believe Gondry is a genius, as do many others. :)

         

sure hes a half god. do you think they had a truck to fit all these drums or is it simply image cloning. if its gondry i bet they are real drums. i heard that a dvd would come out on his work soon

         

the minimal line-up comes in handy. can you imagine the video if they were a poser metal or a jazz rock band?

and of course: info + stills here. I think this really is one of my all-time fave Gondry vids. I even shot VJ segments for my old mv show at the site where this was filmed, during a rare visit to NYC. Dorky, but hey, that's me. It was funny how overgrown a lot of the grass was, compared to the video.
