since I don't speak Tamil, I can't say what her lyrics r sayin' but u can bet she aint chatin' 'bout no gucchi thong
         
The song may be good. The problem comes when you put a girl in a video who doesnt do nothing extraordinary for 4 minutes. Theres no storyline abstract or linear. Nothing to make the brain tickling. and the animations in the background repeat themself until the end because at the end you need to put something different because its the end. I can watch that for 20 sec no more.
For a decent video you need to suprise the viewer every 30 sec at least.

She doesn't HAVE to do anything extraordinary and she doesn't NEED to surprise me every 30 seconds (at least). It's a mesmerizing video for a mesmerizing track.
         
her performance is awesome - she definitely upstages the visuals, which, I agree, lose some of their appeal after a minute or so. Also, she's singing in English, not Tamil.
         
I personally believe that this was an entertaining and comedic song. Truthfully the style of video that it is fits the music perfectly. Maybe you would have had to hear the song first before seeing the video to make a judgement. It's got that whole 'worse than Arnie' accent thing and all the funny statements. I for one recognize the coefficient of the music & video put together.

I still haven't the slightest if this is an official video or something done by a fan. But it was fun nonetheless.

If your brain isn't ticking that's because you've got a lazy brain. This is a Sri Lankan TAMIL refugee girl singing in front of TIGERS and burning palm trees and bombs and then british council estates and police cars - at least it says something about where she's coming from. She writes her songs, and she does the stencilling, so credit to her for sticking to her guns with a video that is in the style of all her own artwork on her website. It's at www.miauk.com with her artwork and more songs. She's brave and I think its really fresh what she's doing. Definitely one to watch for the future.

hey,jonnyalive i agree with u. im from america and i think the is absolutley different and it's really risky to do something that different. but people shoudn't be so closeminded about it. i mean it's probably not going to be voted for an MTV music award but it's cool and it's different. i thought the music was something that u could tap your feet to. i admire her she has come a long way i mean with her family situations and to take a big risk like this was pretty big. she's got courage and self esteem. and i know Sir Lanka is very different from other parts of the world but she is a talented person. i admire that about her.

I must admit that when i first saw her vid on MTV2 i thought it was some old music video from like the 80's or early 90's or something... but yeah i think her song is hella tight and for all you who think its just a bunch of crap. well that just shows how close minded and simple you are.

I DID listen to her lyrics and when she says "London calling, speak the slang now" she's talking about her family having to flee to London as refugees because of the Civil War in Sri Lanka. and the blaze and purple haze part is most likely referring to the fires and gas clouds due to the war, NOT drugs. as for the "galang" part im not really sure what that means, but hey thats just another reason we need to get to know this artist better.
