It's directed by Dom & Nic, by the way, if anyone cares. Does anyone know if the Supergrass DVD is coming out in the USofA?
amazon seems to have it, and it's region one. i believe the best of cd is released sep 28 in the us, and the dvd came out simultaneously here in australia.
it's definitely worth picking up. the clips are great, the commentaries are worthwhile and the doco is excellent.
Yeah, but it's over $40! Even though it's region 1 it's considered an import here. I love Supergrass, but that's a lot of dough for a DVD.
Who are dom and nic exactly. I think I read somewhere that they are related to hammer and tongs somehow. After I saw that they directed most of supergrass's videos, and the "pumping up your stereo" video is probably one of my favorites, I really was excited about finding a good collection of videos that I could purchase. But after going to amazon, I was pretty surprised/saddened/angered by the price as well. Does anyone know if it'll ever go down somehow, or of some place where it's a reasonable price?
Dom Hawley & Nic Goffey met in college. Their earliest work was doing videos for Supergrass since Danny, the drummer, is Nic's brother (they look exactly alike). They've since done all of Supergrass' videos (aside from "Pumping" and "Mary" and "Moving") and other great videos, though they've pretty much turned their attention towards commercials lately. Aside from being British (and presumably friends), I don't think they have any relation to Hammers & Tongs.
you can get it used on Amazon for $24 www.amazon.com yeah Dom and Nic have made some great videos but they also have a tendency to churn out "ehhh" videos (they did this one totally generic Oasis video).
Nice! Thanks for the tip, Captain. I actually like that Oasis video, and I HATE Oasis! I just think it's beautifully shot.
