Biffy Clyro "Only One Word Comes To Mind" Dir: Paul A Williams

I cut this a couple of years ago and it still makes me smile. Made by a good friend of mine who just finished his first feature...
Aimee Mann - Video (James Frost)
James Frost approached Aimee asking if he could use her as a guinea pig to try out some old 1970's filters he had recently purchased in Paris. She agreed lovingly, and a date was set. It was shot sometime in May 2005 at James' producer's house in Eagle Rock, California.
The piece of 16mm film (600ft to be exact) was shot on a Bolex camera with 2 lights and a flashlight in 4 hours using the different filters for various sections of the song.
It was never used and distributed officially for 3 reasons:
1.) It was never meant to be a video, but James wanted to use the whole song so that if the filters worked he could give back to what had been given to him. An artist who was willing to take time from her touring schedule to indulge in his experiment.
2.) By the time of its completion it was felt that Aimee's record had come to it's marketing expiration date. After all it did take 10 months to complete on a favor basis.
3.) It was felt that MTV/VH1 whoever were not in the equation so why spend money trying to get those folks involved anyway. Most of all it was made just for kicks. (www.film400.com)
