CALL FOR ENTRIES Show me the music!
This year the Moving Image section of Synch Festival focuses on the direct relationship between music and image as well as on their interaction in the form of music video. Therefore, we invite you to send your MUSIC VIDEOS– of amateur or professional level, a basic element of which will be innovation and experimentation in dealing with the “music-image” interaction. The video clip material that will be sent to us from different parts of the world will form the primary projection tool during the festival period. The aim of this action is the communication and presentation of different, alternative routes of cinematography and music-image interaction, to an international audience. This call is targeted to all of you, amateur and professional directors, creative minds, music bands, artists. It is a chance to present your work internationally. So, get off your couch and SHOW ME THE MUSIC!!! Send your entries until April 30, 2008.

It seems as though he might be directing every video off of her new album. This one features no special effects, no fancy camera techniques, just a straight-forward poppy dance video.

PLEASE HELP! I stumbled across this amazing video recently - I suspect it may not be really new - but definitely worth checking out. Ultra gritty, urban scenes from Cuba? Puerto Rico? Amazing Song, Amazing video. Unkown Director. Some blogs have mentioned 'Apparently they wanted a video treatment à la Cité de Dieu'. Which means nothing to me, but to you fine people?
DESPERATELY SEEKING a Higher Res (than Youtube) version of this - can anybody help? Anybody have any tricks to track down avi's or .movs of great video's like this? Thanks for any help here.

Far from perfect, but I like the way it evokes a moving Francis Bacon painting or Egon Schiele drawing. Also that it's somewhat uncomfortable to watch. Video is based on Ira Cohen's Mylar Chamber photos.
