illeist collective - Amber
The images are reminiscent of impressionist paintings, the music defined through its minimalistic sound design and harmonic composition - With the fifth video clip called "Amber" of the album “Monkey Dope”, the illeist collective presents a cinematographic cooperation with Oliver Neubert. A slow paced clip with beautiful images in perfect harmony with the most feathery composition of the illeist collective.

Will Young "Come On" - Dir: Chris Sweeney
The Red Wine Effect singing Oxygen - GemsOnVHS (& comments on "blacklisting")
I wanted to address the on going "should we blacklist videos" discussion.
Shut up. You sound like elitist pricks. Sorry, it had to be said. Who are you to decide what constitutes art?
-
Self promotion. Ban this and you'll have what you want. The three of you will share videos amongst each other here and debate the merits of their artistic value.
-
"Crappy, film student/independent videos". Shut up. I come here and regularly click around just to see what others are doing. If it's terrible, who gives a damn? I laugh and interpret what they did wrong, in my opinion. If it's obviously poorly edited, then they have something to learn, maybe i'll post a tip.
And if you don't like the "take away show" format that has become popular in recent years, you're stuck in the past. It's just another form of art. Every take away has its own style, small nuances between them to be interpreted and learned from.
Just my rant. I love this site. I think the layout could be improved upon, especially for commenting. The commenting section isn't well defined enough and is annoyingly tedious to read.
