Mary PopKids: Nightdrive dir: Emil Goodman and Menzkie
We are proudly presenting our latest work, a music video for the up-and-coming European band, Mary Popkids. The directors, Emil Goodman and Menzkie were inspired by movies like Drive, Deathproof or Blade Runner, the backbone of the story is classic road movie scenario.
Our heroes arrive at a gas station, where they're poisoned by a bewitching waitress. The mysterious potion takes them a hallucinatory road trip. At the shooting the directors used rear projection to give to the video a retro feel, seasoned by a special camera movement. The camera rotates around the car for 360 degrees to mark the heroes' journey between the fantasy world and reality.
