1995 'Polar Rapid' Dir. Michael Humphrey
Here is a promo I shot for a band recently that only had $100.00. Luckily what the band made up for in a lack of money was having a bunch of interesting looking friends. So instead of reaching for the 5D I wanted to have a shot at an idea that had been floating around in my head for some time. I really wanted to create a connection between an audience and the emotions and reactions of non-actors reacting to footage shown to them.
The subjects were shot one by one with each not having any idea what was about to happen. We played a series of videos to the subjects - content ranging from dogs being silly, to shocking and disgusting. There was one 'special' video that came last... not everyone got to see that one. The name was jarsquatter. I leave the rest to imagination.

Ms Howard-Moore's last music video featured a Sukhoi fighter jet doing a victory roll over the heads of 60 paratroopers, "high enough not to burn them but low enough to look spectacular for her 3 cameras".
