"Hear, Earth, Heart" is a meditative short film from ridiculously talented Chinese visual artist Yi Zhou that features an exclusive piece by Air called "The Dream of Yi". You can watch and listen to most of it at Zhou's site www.yi-yo.net. The film premiered in Paris last year, and now it's showing as part of Art Basel, the modern art extravaganza running in Basel, Switzerland from June 10-14. According to Air's MySpace, the Basel showing features "Hear, Earth, Heart" projected onto a marble plate!

Another Zhou piece, "My Heart Laid Bare"-- starring a severely heartbroken Charlotte Gainsbourg and featuring music by Chester French-- will also play (on a plate) at Basel. You can watch that one at the artist's site as well. RIYL Björk music videos circa Homogenic. VIA PITCHFORK

Here's a video we (Super U) made with Brighton based video director Steve Glashier of Nothing to See Here. Steve has directed videos for Scroobius Pip, Bonobo, Blood Red Shoes, Prinzhorn, CSS and loads of other signed artists, and about twice a year takes pity on us and helps us with a new promo. We filmed it at Fabrica in Brighton over the course of a tight day, during which the dancers feet bled. We like it a lot, hope you guys do.

The video is for J-son's third single, "My window". Shot on red and it´s a mixture between live-action and stop motion.

An homage to German expressionism of the early 20th century (Metropolis, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari). It's a story about medicine, alchemy and transformation. Lioness lead singer, Vanessa Fischer, dreams from the operating table, whilst receiving a mechanical heart. It was directed by Jeff Scheven of the band, who has directed videos in the past by TV On The Radio, The Organ, Moneen and Controller.Controller.

Does anyone know the technique used to create this incredibly washed out film look. I think its a special type of stock myself, but pretty sure its not reversal, so whaddya reckon, any clues?
