Gideon Baws (1975[?]-2008)
One of the four Shynola founders suddenly passed away at age 33. Terrible news. I heard this via the tribute on David O´Reilly's site.
Most of their videos are archived at The Directors Beureau, RSA/Black Dog. Always good to revisit Shynola's work, and I urge anyone unfamiliar to have a look. An immensely inspiring operation, showing personality and ingenuity trumping the usual constraints.
Does anyone know of pieces more specific to him that should be highlighted?
More regards written in the comments...

Alesha Dixon, "The Boy Does Nothing" (dir Michael Gracey)
Will not change the history of pop videos as we know it but still (to me) utterly enjoyable (except for kid subplot, which felt like an unnecessary remnant of an earlier cut). Gracey is apparently Baz Luhrmann's "right hand man", according to random sites on the internet. Fun song, great pop video, very nicely lit.
Oh, and sorry about the crappy u2b res.
The Grouch - "Mom & Pop Killer" (Dir. Isaac Klotz)
Mom & Pop Killer is off the album Show You The World.
Miniature Tigers - "Cannibal Queen" (Dir. JD Ryznar)
Not one of our videos, but I'm a big fan of Miniature Tigers. From their Myspace:
"...Cannibal Queen, from the album "Tell it to the Volcano," directed by JD Ryznar (Yacht Rock) and featuring a cameo from Derek Mears (Jason from the new Friday the 13th)
This video was shot in the firehouse where they shot Ghostbusters."
MGMT - The Youth (Dir. Eric Wareheim)
"Awkward is the new everything."

Can someone explain to me the purpose of making separate videos for different markets? Especially when one video is clearly better than the other...
