Somadrone - Juniper and Lamplight
uniper & Lamplight is the second single from the upcoming sixth studio album by Somadrone, Wellpark Avenue (Due April 10th). The song is a reworking of the 1969 song by Simon and Garfunkel, For Emily wherever I May Find Her from their third studio album, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. What began as a simple reworking, soon turned into a fully orchestrated soundscape where simple electronics weave to and fro. Harpsichords drive the instrumentation into a lush and psychedelic pool of sounds and references acts like Scott Walker and Air. The single fully combines the themes on Wellpark Avenue, an album of deep spatial and sonic effects, one that marks an artist unafraid of pushing the boundaries of both sound and composition alike.

Here's a new video by Manchester band, Douga. The footage is made up of footage shot by Johnny Winbolt-Lewis (vocals, various instruments). The scenes consist of moving images of his travels in East Canada / North East USA in October 2017. It has been edited by Andrew Stride (drums, percussion) using overlays, tape decay / 8mm filters and a nod towards Psychedelia.
