Jud & Lace-"Incarcerated One" featuring Freaks of Nashville
Jud & Lace is songwriting duo, hailing from the southern states of South Carolina and Mississippi, respectively. The two have been at their crafts, both writing and playing since childhood and are both multi-instrumentalists with emphasis on violin (Lacy) and guitar (Jud). Their musical influences range from Dylan to 90’s music of several genres, Blues, and some touches of world music from Mexico and the Middle East. The two lived separate lives in different parts of the United States over the years where they each picked up their experience and diverse ears for music; Judson in Charleston, Los Angeles, and Austin and Lacy in NYC, LA, and San Francisco before eventually meeting in Nashville, where they met playing on the main stage of a famous honky tonk in the city's downtown "Broadway." They began writing and realized the mix of their separate experiences and tastes just seemed to work.
