The Modern Love - Climbing Up The Hill
The Modern Love is a swedish band built from the ashes of the semi-big band "Dolly Daggers". The bass player comes from the even bigger swedish band called "Alice in Videoland".
The Modern Love is a pop/rock/indie band with a clear indie-tune attached. The songs are written by the singer Ludvig Sersams and discuss the modern type of love, for example the love to a country or the love to a certain feeling or sense.
The band has received huge positive feedback and is loved by all of their listeners. The minimalistic and catchy melodies mixed together with the deep and serious lyrical content a long with the rhythmical quality constructs an unique sound that can satisfy anyone.
The Modern Love has played live at different of clubs and places in Sweden with big success but is now aiming for an intenational scene - U.S, Germany, Denmark for example.
An interesting sidenote is that three members of the band are related! The three hansome brothers with musical backgrounds make the band even uniquer and more interesting to dive into!

This is "In the Sun," the Charles Walker Band's third music video. This song was written for lead singer Porsche Carmon by Charles because his favorite time to see her is summer, when the sun glows off her skin. This video was shot at Bradford Beach in Milwaukee, WI over a series of three days. After the first two days of shooting, the band was run off by the police from 3 different locations but eventually found their final area to shoot in without harassment.
Grounded in blues, the band refined their unique sound into what can best be described as soul, a fusion of funk, r&b and Motown. Though compared to an array of musicians (Sly and the Family Stone, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelics, James Brown), their music retains deep gospel influences and positive lyrical messages.
