Blänk - 'Doing My Dance'
Swedish trio, Blank have a new video for 'Doing My Dance'. The track was recorded in Atlanta and the video was partly recorded during a late night wedding party in Sri Lanka by the band's creative director Martin Sjölander. We can promise that you haven´t seen anything like this video in a while. If you ask the band themselves 'Doing My Dance' is,
"...about the internet, and our right as human beings to be whoever we are on the internet, despite of the awful forces of the worlds big name brands who want to control what we see and who we are up there".
A couple of years ago, Blänk came out of nowhere and became one of Sweden’s most blogged-about bands, both in their own country and abroad, with fans in XLR8R, Discobelle and Palms Out Sounds to name but a few.
Their breakout single and video Shirt Off from their debut album 'You’ve Never Been To Sápmi' was praised by some of the world’s largest electro music blogs.
After opening for acts like Lupe Fiasco, Wale and The Cool Kids, Blänk is back with the release of their new EP, 'Áurinko Rising Again' on the 27th August. The 5 track EP will be released on Blänk's own imprint Grind Records and was recorded in Atlanta and Ryssbält – a small place by the sea a few miles south of the Northpole in Swedish Lapland – where Blänk originates from.
