The Shouty Track - Lemon Jelly
Great new video directed by Airside for Lemon Jelly. It's a welcome new direction from Lemon Jelly's usual generic psychedelia.
You'll need RealPlayer to see it.
That was disappointing. A nearly 4 minute long video with about a minute and a half of original animation looped over and over. Why bother?
I see your point, but I think the repetition is partly the point of the video. That's part of the statement the video is making about the pointlessness and absurdity of that lifestyle and mindset. But I guess, if you don't read that much into it, it can be dissapointing.
....FUKING GENIUS VIDEO....
Shynola-ish.....
though sorta lacks how they cram so much into a video.
I think it's amusing / well-done, but sometimes it's hard to gauge how work like this stands as a music video - seems it has more in common w/ a web animation than a typical video.
- there is no such thing as a typical video
- most of the peoples that post to this site seem to be very upset and troubled for one reason or another...
- lets all try and get off our opinionsurfboards and start to create
- there is no such thing as a typical video
- this is not a typical video and mucho respect to all involved coz i laughed my tits off.
a typical video features the artist and has some amount of live action. I'm not saying that these are the only good videos, but rather that 98% of them are like this. Selling the band, selling the song.
this video is neat but how do we know this wasn't some flash animation for a web site that was cut to a song?
you couldn't compare this director to any "real" music video director who works with actors, lighting, production design, etc. - you could however compare him to other animators and he would stack up well.
Perhaps no different than comparing a feature film director to a novelist - they both tell stories, but you can't really compare the two.
and why does everyone think that just cause we post here means we're bitter and not doing music videos? Sometimes you gotta pause in between editing and trash talk on antville.
