I think it would have been okay if it didn't rely so heavily on that cliche rapping to the camera crap.

the rapping started, i turned it off! awful

I really like the shots of them building the homemade time machine, but I agree that the rapping shots were less interesting. I wouldn't call it "crap" or "awful", though--it's just that it wasn't as original and charming as the other shots. Straight-to-the-camera performances really rely on the charisma of the performers and the quality of their music, and these guys were not to my particular taste.
