GOGOL BORDELLO
Probably one of the best shows you'll ever go witness. Take a bit of Iggy Pop, a lot of gypsy rock, and a whole lotta crazy and you've got Gogol Bordello.

I've seen Gogol Bordello a couple of times, and they're just as rockin' as this video suggests. A few years back I used to go this Bulgarian bar off Canal Street in New York where the singer (Hutz?) of Gogol Bordello would DJ... Such an excellent time, the room would be packed with people so amped-up the walls would sweat. Hutz played all kinds of dance music interspersed with some hardcore, haunting Romany music he had taped of musicians in East Europe. Very cool...
Gogol Bordello might be the most exciting band to come around in 10 years. The video's homespun quality fits the combination of Russian folk-klezmer-punk style that they are renowned for. You have to see them live! They're crazy maniacal wild!
I kept waiting for something interesting to happen (video or music-wise) but nothing did. Oh well. They certainly aren't bad, though.
