Their first three were such seminal After Effect videos. This does not really come close.
gotta admit - it looks like Floria Sigismondi's Incubus video. I can't say I loved their first album's videos, but yeah, this is not that great... terrible plotting, overloaded imagery - the end shot with people dissapearing is clichèd but reminds you of how those simple ideas are so much more compelling than quick cuts of tons of shit flying around.
the videos for 'remind me' and 'poor leno' really worked well, and easily held up to repeated viewing.
i get the feeling this clip would have worked well for any euro dance group (robert miles' 'children' comes to mind).
i don't have the experience that others do on this site, but i didn't like this.
similar in style with their other videos (neither good nor bad), but not sure about dabbling with the super 8 look and nostalgia along with the '68 events (?).
