Hot Hot Heat-"Middle of Nowhere"
ehhhhh...
c'mon hot hot heat. Let's get it together. i didn't come here for no foolishness.
I didn't think it was that bad - lowered expectations? It's cool they did a storyline. I would never guess a band like this would do any acting.
still, everytime the lead singer was on, all I could think of was this:
omigod captain, THAT'S the fellow!
the video's ok i thought, pretty cool locations, not badly told, the existentialism was played pretty well...
i hated that they lifted the twangy guitars straight from gomez - pretty unsubstantial music altogether. but the video is intriguing enough...
That story gets made at least twice at NYU film school every year.
Switcharooney -- where did you hear the expression "I ain't here for no foolishness"?
at the beginning i wanted to turn it off but then it actually became quite interesting. but after the first photo he looks at, the video lost tension. i didn't get the retro-style and i think it would've been more interesting if they had dv cameras instead of film cameras, because they could've played a bit more with this people-no people thing. but........excellent song, which made the video still fun to watch.
I'm not sure if I understood it...the lead singer steps into the jon, which is the real world...goes back to the room where the life of being in a band was taking place, only to discover no one is there. He wanders an empty town, to discover it vacant, but is able to see people through pictures and film...and eventually sees himself.
what does it mean?
To me I sort of read it like their lifestyle or "world" only exists through the eye of a camera, and can only be viewed from a distance...?? Their world doesn't exist in real life?
Argh, too tough for me!
Everyone in the town is film vampires.
Still u think he could'a washed his hands don't u?
Might explain a lot ov it if, the stage set crew had'a mistook this
for this
The lack ov dead bodies? The clean up crew probably disposed ov them
Incidentally seems t'me the lead singer is a bit too much ov a Scot Walker look alike to be considered punk
Tho' the vocals are good n the story board is oK if a bit overused
