Eduardo ...really imaginative... whats really dope is that the narrative really keeps me wondering what the in the suite gonna do next. He comes a very cinematic character thats easy to want to watch. I really liked this alot. The framings were gorgeous and dramatic too. Not that it matters but Im curious what you shot on?
yeah, and somehow there's so much pathos here. hard to put your finger on. what was it like shooting in cuba eduardo? how did you edit this? curious about the film culture there.
shooting in cuba... uffffff. It was definitely hard. You always need special permits to shoot. And a couple of times I was harrassed by their police service. You see, there's a lot of tension with the US down there, so if you speak english and have a camera, its considered suspicious. Plus, I had a guy in a space suit an I guess it kind of scared the shit out of them... hehe. I edited on Final Cut, on my own CPU. To put it in a nutshell, everything is complicated in Cuba. Its extremely hard to put it a couple of sentences...
of course you need permits in new york city too - we got some shit shooting the new juan maclean video in times square last week - but i'm sure it's not the same. i have indeed heard that filming is incredibly difficult in cuba, and that even owning a computer is somewhat suspect, which only speaks to what you were able to pull off.
but its pretty exciting to me that despite all the policital bullshit between the US and Cuba (or the US and any other dozen coutries for that matter) that this site is such a universal forum.
it's interesting. this idea could have been hamfisted and corny, a wacky tale about a kid building his own rocket pack, but instead you went the other way and there's real emotion here.

Remigio: muchas gracias por tu respuesta, al agradezco de veras. El grupo no tiene un sitio. El grupo se llama "Nacional Electronica" y son dos chavos que, aparte y antes de hacer musica, eran artistas plasticos. Entonces pues ya tenian toda una trayectoria en arte. No tienen website por que eso es algo complicado en Cuba, pero tenian un movimiento que se llamaba "Galeria Postal", que era una forma de difuminar su arte de una forma "Underground" (ya que en cuba son complicadas las cosas). Tengo el email de uno de ellos, si les quisieras escribir...
