Scarily close in parts to Dougal's Benny Benassi vid....right down to styling, art direction, slo-mo, choice of power tools...the lot. Did that not reach the States? This does have the clever twist of being intercut with a performance video though.
Still, the banana car driving into the tunnel made me titter like a schoolboy.

having the performance set in the tunnel (which the banana was OBVOUSLY going to drive through suggestively at the end) was a really fun way of integrating the story and performance.
good fun clip, but the director defintely owes dougal wilson a thankyou/apology note. that reminds me of an old gondry interview where he complains about not being able to break the american/hip hop market, talking about the will smith clip that will rip off his idea twenty shots in a row, but why can't he get that video?!?
i feel stupider for watching that... and i don't think bg should be in their own videos. plus it was a ripoff like said in above cfomments.. :P
Wow, that was awful. I can't figure out if it's a ripoff of the Satisfaction video or a misguided homage, but it really makes you realize how perfectly pitched Dougal Wilson's video was--this one just crosses right over the line between brilliantly over-the-top and stupidly over-the-top, and then it keeps on going.
