oh how cool, cool people role playing. THe main problem is that theres nothing for this video to stand on besides, the song which not to knock smog becuase i do think he is on ther better side of or at least was on the better side music, but the whole deal is so click-y ,and theres no talent in the video.
I think they need to take a step back from what they are doing and look at it.
i really liked this video. it is simple. chloe sevigny is very, very good. and the song is pretty excellent. bill callahan gives a solid performance as well.
I was really excited about seeing this video. Firstly because I love smog and secondly because I was interested to see what approach bill callahan took as to the production and quality of the clip. When I saw it, I must admit I was slightly disappointed. I enjoyed the overall rawness of it, but it seemed to lack a certain edge. Chloe Sevigny's (as beautiful and intriguing as she is) performance didn't seem to connect with the song at all. Infact, I didn't really understand what the film was trying to say. It didn't speak to me. The song is great, but I think it could have been explored differently visually. It needed more earthiness. It needed a touch of the surreal. But maybe, I am just confused.
