Some sort of fake-documentary about the band. The music video itself is the making of of the music video that actually doesn´t exist. The bandmembers are actors while the real musicians act to be producer, director, light operator and so on. Aesthetically abutted to the cheap docu-style as seen in MTV Cribs, Dismissed, you name it.

i dunno, what would you say? is their proverbial unfunniness to do with the clunky language or is it just a deep cultural hallmark of theirs?

tell me, why do you know that the video is supposed to be funny? is there a distinct evidence? and don´t waste your time with searching for cheap jokes. focus on the global coherence of this piece, in which a video produced for music televison refers to the stopgaps invented by music televison.

don't want to hurt nobody's feelings poodle, i'm sure it took a fair effort to make, and you've even gone to the lengths of thinking about the stylemes of the genre. props to you for all that.

forgive my lexical imprecision: i wasn't looking for jokes. i should have said: unfun. uninteresting. it comes across as clumsy and fake (and if you really want, i could try to take the time to make you a list of what/why that is). if you'd done this whole thing with less brains and more guts, it might have become something worth watching.
