Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc." Live, holograms?
also wondered, but isn't it monitors? they where placed all over the stage at other times of the show.
Passion Pictures made it. Take a look here: features.cgsociety.org
gorillaz prod standards have sunk so fucking much since the first album.. this is kack compared to their previous brits performance video, awful timing & silhouettes, and ugly ass rendering ... who cares if they were made into fucking holograms, the material looks like cheap corner cutting rubbish.
FLIP: You're missing the point completely. Watch the audience, they're cheering to mutherfuckin holographic cartoons. Unbelievable.
Here's a band that responded to a contrived and candy filled pop industry by assembling a persona that reflects said industry in an amazing way. Mutherfuckin cartoons. It's a brilliant hipster farce.
Who gives a shit about the quality. That's not the point.
I think the renders could've and should've looked worse.
Everyone, who saw one of their 5 concerts in the Manchester Opera House, said (or wrote: www.guardian.co.uk) that that was great - they were in 2 dimensions but with every guest on stage, who's on the album - seems like, the MTV-performance was not as important for them, cause the same evening they played in Manchester. Whatever that meens: The Gorillaz are the only band in the world, who can play a concert in two cities at the same time.
