Jenny Wilson "Summertime - The Roughest Time" dir. David Giese

She was a guest vocalist on The Knife's "You Take My Breath Away". her debut solo album Love And Youth is excellent.
quicktime here
Mmmmh... I am having a hard time listening to that... not really my kind of music.
nicely downplayed.
I like it very much. music, voice and style reminds me very much to Bertine Zetlitz: www.bertine.com
I love that video, and I love Jenny Wilson - this video is #11 on my top 50 videos of 2005 docopenhagen.blogspot.com (sorry for the shameless selfpromotion)
Pop is always a shameless selfpromotion.
Quite refreshing after the fug of christmas and new year excess. I lked the sun on the lightbulb. nice touch and the moogy bit at the end reminded of talking heads for some reason. I've never heard of Jenny Wilson. Any reccomended recordings?
I highly recommend that you go to her site where you can stream her album Love and Youth in it's entirety.
what do you call it when you lose interest after the first minute? Cause this video is boring.
the director did a pretty terrible job of making her look attractive. Obviously she's not aiming to be a sex symbol but it's like they intentionally made her up and lit her completely wrong.
I agree, I think it could have been lit better. What bothers me: everything looks very flat.
i actually like the lighting (flat like the overall mocked-up feel of the video), but i agree there's something weird/unaccomplished about her ice-queen/vampirish styling.
fantastic album, I'm listening to it since yesterday, mad about it.
The playing is really good.
