Broken Social Scene "7/4 (Shoreline)", dir. Micah Meisner
sax, lights and audiotape. (honestly? blah...)
mov here.
(via chromewaves)
The "how milk is made" shots of the cassette look nice, but it seems the ideas don't go much beyond the tape deck.
if only all videos were posted to the webnets in such high quality video.
yeah that wasn't that bad - a LOT better than the one of them in the kitchen.
Love the song, performance was energetic, Feist (right?) was awesome.
The tape deck shots were very nicely done i guess but a dumb idea. Oh, the band is on the tape, so lets superimpose them? dumb.
and the car shots... huh? Still, they look great.
So in conclusion - good executioon of a lame-ass non-concept.
i love this band, but the video was average. the concept was weak. it was nicely shot though.
put the camera on feist...that's it. i'm not a jackass, she's just by far the best part of this video. still waiting for a great clip from this record. "superconnected," you're up.
this song is such a killer, no video will ever fail on this one.
I am back from a party and it´s 5 am. I could cry! This is one of my favourite songs.
that's beautiful, man. could not agree more.
amazing! loved it
First of all the directors name is Micah Meisner and second of all, this is a crappy video for a great song. Micah is usually pretty spot on, but this video is as lame as ever...the cinematography is also awful...looks like overlit video.
All in all, a terrible job.
OOPS - stuart's the editor - my bad (wasn't aware bijou wasn't a prod co...)
oh, and: walt: permit me to agree (though more blandly) on all counts. as regards micah, what i've seen here hasn't ever really hit home...
Haven't seen this, but Micah's stuff tends to be pretty good. Good ideas executed effectively, which is to say, better than most. imho
