Stop-motion animation on a blackboard.

this video is awful...not awful awful, just awful in that sad awful indie way...boring...

Disagree. Its animation is not top notch, and there seems to be a lack of footage at times but definately worth watching with a few nice moments in it.

wasn't this same concept used in a Barenaked Ladies video?

Blackboard animation is the earliest form of animation:

dekku.blogspot.com (1906) www.milkandcookies.com (1908)

yay more comparisons: Gondry used blackboard animation in his 2nd stones vid (Sorry I haven't reposted the stills for that since I rejigged the site - It also needs a slight rewrite - I'll do that this weekend..)

Sledgehammer, Joanna Newsom "Sprout and the Bean" had some too..

I am as bored as the children in the vid.

I'm not. I love it. Very funny.

the blackboard stuff's beside the point (the cut-out guitars even more so). this is quirky/cute, though unfortunately a lot of the charm is exactly the same as the dcfc different names video's...
